Did you feel it? The wave of hope that travelled coast to coast, carried by our annual Amaryllis Campaign?
We are so inspired and grateful to our amazing community for another fabulous fundraiser! Without you, there would be no campaign. Without you, we could not direct these funds to research and support to help those affected by Huntington disease.
THE RESULTS ARE IN! After receiving 961 votes cast for the Amaryllis photo festival, the winner is…Mindy F. with 248 votes!
Says Mindy, “This year we purchased three Amaryllis. We have many family members who have been diagnosed with Huntington disease. It is on both my mother’s and father’s side. I have grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who have been diagnosed. We love supporting this very important cause!”

Please note: We have a very limited number of Amaryllis kits remaining at our national office in Waterloo. If you are still looking for a kit, please email Rachel at rthompson@huntingtonsociety.ca.
Amaryllis kits have increased in price this year to $17.00/kit due to rising costs. Each kit contains a premium Orange Sovereign bulb with a planting pot, soil and a saucer, all in a gorgeous gift box. You can plant your bulbs immediately when you receive them or you can store them in a cool, dry place for later. Gorgeous orange-red blooms will appear approximately 6-8 weeks after planting. Each kit we sell brings us one step closer to finding a treatment for Huntington disease (HD). Every Amaryllis bulb blooming in someone’s home or business holds the promise and hope of a world free from HD. Thank you for your tremendous and continuing support and for helping us to Inspire Hope!

ABOUT AMARYLLIS: The Amaryllis is the signature flower of the Huntington Society of Canada (HSC) and this campaign is one of HSC’s most cherished annual fundraisers. We have Amaryllis volunteers across the country who sell bulb kits to help raise vital funds for our programs in research, services and education dedicated toward treating the root cause of HD as well as supporting families affected. Every year, over 20,000 Amaryllis bulbs bloom coast to coast, inspiring hope for a world free of HD.
Since 1985, HSC’s dedicated volunteers have raised well over $5 million in support of HD.
