2021 Amaryllis Campaign
100% SOLD! THANK YOU!
PLEASE NOTE: We are sold out in the West Coast. Orders from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba cannot be fulfilled after December 8th and will be canceled. Thank you for your support!
The Amaryllis is the signature flower of the Huntington Society of Canada (HSC) and this campaign is one of HSC’s most cherished annual fundraisers. We have Amaryllis volunteers across the country who sell bulb kits to help raise vital funds for our programs in research, services and education dedicated toward treating the root cause of Huntington disease (HD) as well as supporting families affected by HD. Every year, around 20,000 Amaryllis bulbs bloom coast to coast, inspiring hope for a world free of HD. Since 1985, HSC’s dedicated volunteers have raised well over $5 million in support of HD.
Our Amaryllis kits are priced at $15.00. Each kit contains a premium Orange Sovereign bulb with a planting pot, soil and a saucer, all in a gorgeous gift box. Ordering is done by the case ($180), which includes 12 kits and is delivered directly to you, Canada-wide.
Orders can be made at any time, with delivery dates from October 6 to December 15, 2021.
You can plant your bulbs immediately when you receive them or you can store them in a cool, dry place for later. Gorgeous orange-red blooms will appear approximately 6-8 weeks after planting.
Each kit we sell brings us one step closer to finding a treatment for HD. Every Amaryllis bulb blooming in someone’s home or business holds the promise and hope of a world free from HD.
This year we’re launching our biggest campaign yet, with a goal to sell 25,000 kits! We sold out of Amaryllis last year, so don’t delay – help us reach our target and order yours today!
Thank you for your tremendous and continuing support and for helping us to Inspire Hope!
Our Amaryllis are a community favourite and make wonderful holiday gifts as well as décor. We have heard from our community that they truly enjoy purchasing a case and then gifting them. Here are just a few ideas of who would love to receive an Amaryllis:
- Teachers and support staff at schools
- Neighbours, especially those who live alone
- Residents in retirement or long-term care homes
- Your kids’ coaches, instructors, babysitters, and friends’ parents
- Hosts and hostesses
- Friends and family
- Your team at work
- Your dentist, doctor, dog walker, massage therapist, house cleaner, gardener – anyone who helps look after you and makes your life a bit brighter
When you add up all of these recipients, you’ll see why we sell Amaryllis by the case!
