Volunteering at HSC
Volunteers really are the lifeblood of the Huntington Society of Canada. Our chapters and area representatives increase awareness about HD, offer support to Huntington’s families in their community, and raise almost half of our annual revenue.

I have been volunteering for over 20 years for many different organizations. I strongly believe in giving back; especially in my local community. Most recently I have been volunteering at HSC. It is great to be able to put my skills and experience to use in the office. Working together as part of a team behind the scene, I feel a great sense of accomplishment in seeing and knowing that the tasks I accomplish will have a positive larger ripple effect on individuals and families who are affected by HD.

HSC was started by volunteers. Even after 40 years they still play a huge role in the growth and success of the Huntington Society of Canada. We could not function without their valuable input.

We achieve amazing things given our small infrastructure. Our blessing is the wonderful volunteers that support us at all levels of the Society and from all areas of Canada. We could never achieve what we do without the amazing commitment of the many volunteers that help us be the best that we can be. Daily we are grateful for the wonderful volunteers that choose to make a difference with us.
