Stop Drop and Plank 4 HD

Have you heard of the latest HD social media challenge? Have you been nominated to participate?

#StopDropandPlank4HD is the challenge that is taking the internet by a storm where participants do just like it sounds – stop, drop and plank for HD! When, where and how the plank is preformed is up to you.

Some participants already include members of Huntington Disease Society of America (HDSA), National Youth Alliance (NYA), Young People Affected by Huntington disease (YPAHD), social workers, physical therapists and more!

The purpose of the challenge is to raise awareness for Huntington disease in a fun and engaging way. Studies show that exercise helps improve the physical symptoms of HD by improving muscle tone and balance, too!

So WE challenge YOU! The steps are easy…

Step One:

Take a video of yourself completing a plank exercise for HD awareness.

Step Two:

It is up to you if you want to include your HD story in your post, but make sure to include #StopDropandPlank4HD to keep the trend going! Also make sure to include who you are nominating next! People typically nominate 3 people at a time, but it’s up to you. You can nominate people by tagging them in the post.

If you do the challenge, we encourage you to tag us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram so we can share it with the Canadian HD Community too!
