Still Going Strong

By Ellie, Isla, Anne and Marlene

We are really doing it!

It is Day 6 of walking and we just completed 114 km of the 800 km journey. We left St Jean Pied de Port in France and made it over the Pyrenees. The scenery is absolutely amazing. Lots of pastures with sheep, wild horses and we could hear the chime of cow bells in the distance. Many old villages settled in the hills and each has its church and steeple.

It was tough going with lots of steep rocky and muddy trails as it rained for 3 days. Sun finally came out and it definitely put a spring in our step. Each night, we are happy to reach our Hostel and take off our packs and our shoes. We all have aches and pains but they seem very small compared to those fighting with Huntington disease.

Follow the ladies while they journey across Spain to raise awareness for Huntington disease at @crazycanadiancamino on Instagram and on our social media accounts!
