It’s back – one of the most popular and memorable Huntington Society of Canada experiences of the year. Although we are not physically assembling, we are joining together in a united goal to increase awareness about Huntington disease (HD) and raise funds to help support research and services for the community facing HD. In fact, this year all of the virtual walks take place over this one weekend in a further show of united community spirit.
In going virtual, we’re asking participants to walk solo, physically distanced, with members of their bubble, or even at home, all within their immediate areas. You can also check the walk website to see if there is a specific virtual event in your community and sign up to join in the online fun and activities.
We’ll also be offering a ton of neat resources and surprises to make your walk experience full of the spirit that the HD community is known for. You can download these resources here: https://p2p.onecause.com/hscnationalwalk/page/resources
Wherever you are in the country, you’re connected to the team. Can’t commit to May 29-30? No problem – you can register and walk whenever it’s convenient – that’s the beauty of online.
Please register today, and share the link with your friends and family so that they can join in the memorable goal of increasing awareness and raising funds for HD. We think you’ll love the fun look of our new Walk HQ website, home to great information, fundraising tips… and, of course, the fabulous T-shirt design for the year!
