All donations made online will automatically receive a tax receipt. Donations of $20 or more made by phone or mail will receive tax receipts. If your gift is under $20 and you would like an official tax receipt you can request one by contacting the Donations Administrator at 1-800-998-7398 ext. 121 or emailing donations@huntingtonsociety.ca.
To donate on behalf of a company or organization online please select the “Make this gift on behalf of an organization” box under the Donor Information section on the online form.
Donations on behalf of organizations can be made by phone or mail by ensuring the organization’s name is recognized as the donor.

The Amaryllis is the signature flower of HSC, and the Amaryllis campaign is one of HSC’s most cherished annual fundraisers. Amaryllis volunteers across the country sell bulb kits to help raise vital funds for HSC programs. Every year, over 24,000 Amaryllis bulbs bloom coast to coast, inspiring hope for a world free of HD.
Since 1985, HSC’s dedicated volunteers have raised over $6 million in support of HD.
Amaryllis can be ordered online by visiting www.inspirehope.ca, by filling out an order form and sending it to amaryllis@huntingtonsociety.ca, or by contacting Camilla at 519-749-8491 ext. 126 or cchristophersen@huntingtonsociety.ca. Amaryllis are ordered and delivered in cases of 12 kits.

A case of 12 Amaryllis is $204, each individual kit is $17. Shipping is applied to orders of less than 6 cases and is $14.
Shipping will take place from September 30 to December 10, 2026. You can select your preferred delivery date at checkout. We will make every effort to deliver your order on your selected date; however, exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.

Orders are shipped from St. Catharines, ON and Langley, BC. As temperatures drop in November and December, cold weather may affect shipping to some areas, particularly those farther from our shipping locations.
We recommend ordering early whenever possible. Amaryllis can be stored for up to six weeks before use, so ordering early can help you avoid weather-related shipping delays later in the season.

Yes! Orders can be sent to anyone, please provide the name and shipping address of the person you wish to send an order to at checkout.

The Family Services team consists of the National Director of Family Services, the Educator, the Child and Youth Practitioner, and regional Resource Centre Directors (RCDs). An RCD is someone who provides a range of services within large geographic regions.

The Huntington Heroes National Walk is HSC’s signature fundraising event, bringing communities together in cities across Canada throughout the month of May.
More than just a walk, this event is a powerful movement, raising vital awareness and funds that directly support local counseling services, education, youth programs, and groundbreaking research. Each year the National Walk raises approximately $250,000 for HSC. To learn more, click here.

Research is underway in Canada and worldwide to better understand Huntington disease, develop treatments, and move closer to a meaningful treatment. HSC actively supports this progress by funding research, building collaborations, and connecting the HD community to clinical trials and new discoveries.

HSC’s Undergraduate Student Summer Fellowship attracts the brightest young scientists into the field of HD research and facilitates meaningful HD research to clarify the biological mechanisms underlying HD pathology.
Each year up to eight (8) undergraduate university students across Canada are given the opportunity to pursue an HD research project that can be conducted over a 12-week period, between May and September. Applications are accepted between February and March each year. To learn more, click here.
The Clinical Fellowship program is a strategic initiative to encourage promising young clinicians to pursue clinical training in Huntington disease (HD). This fellowship of $80,000 funds a one-year clinical training program annually. To learn more, click here.
The Navigator program awards funding to Canadian scientific research of direct and immediate relevance to Huntington disease. Awarded annually, the Navigator program funds up to $75,000 for 1-2 years. To learn more, click here.
A clinical trial tests either a new drug or non-drug therapy (exercise or diet) to see if it can improve symptoms or stop the disease. Some participants get the drug, while others receive an inactive pill (placebo). Both groups are monitored to see who does better.

An observational study takes measurements to explore how a disease changes over time and what affects the health of people with a particular disease. There is no drug being tested.
