Making a Difference
Volunteers really are the lifeblood of the Huntington Society of Canada. Our chapters and area representatives increase awareness about HD, offer support to Huntington's families in their community, and raise almost half of our annual revenue.

If you’re a new recruit, we’re glad you’re joining the team!
You can look forward to:
• the satisfaction of making a difference in your community and across Canada
• the opportunity to develop new skills, meet an incredible group of people and stretch yourself in ways you can't imagine

We’re Here to Help
Our volunteers are never alone. At National Office, we can support you in whatever way you need.

Your National contact person can:
• help you establish yourself as an area representative
• help you launch or re-invigorate a local chapter
• assist with chapter operations, including event planning, family support, bookkeeping and finances, and the identification of potential donors.

Ask National Office for a list of our helpful HSC publications. Our chapter development days are a great way to boost your fundraising and communication skills and to meet other HSC volunteers in your region. Ask your contact person at National Office for details. The HSC conference is an opportunity to pick up new ideas, connect with other volunteers, and return home filled with energy and enthusiasm. We also e-mail In the Know, our monthly electronic bulletin, to all our chapter executives, area representatives, Board members and staff so they can stay up to date on research, fundraising, interesting events, and National Office activities.
